BIG Changes

I am in denial. My little baby and first born is growing up and to tell you the honest truth, I don't really like it. I had been putting off this day for a LONG time, but he was ready and I was being selfish. He would have been fine in his crib until he graduated from High School, but his little brother decided to start standing up and needed the big crib. I was also really nervous that he would be up in the night wandering around and break his neck falling down the stairs, but I have been pleasantly suprised! He does NOT leave that bed. Infact, I don't think he moves all night long. When he wakes up he just sits in his bed saying, "Mama, are you?" and holds his little sleeping buddies until I come and get him. I love my little guy, like seriously he is the awesomest little boy EVER. He loves being a big boy and is getting so independent. I am proud of him every day.

9 Months

I better blog about Bodie's 9th month before it is over! This litte fellow is BUSY!!!! He started crawling this month so he is mobile now, yikes. I remember how hard it was when Daxton started crawling because you just have to watch their every little move...... and make sure to vacuum. He isn't too fast yet but he is actually a lot happier now that he can get around and entertain himself. He mosty just follows Daxton everywhere! These two have so much fun together. Daxton can make Bodie giggle like nobody else! Bodie went in for his nine month appointment and weighed in at a whopping 18 lbs. (14th percentile) and 28 inces long (50th percentile). He is almost exactly the same size as Daxton at this age. I really love this age! Bodie is a fiesty little thing! He lets it be known when he needs or wants something. He is sleeping and eating like a champ, well except for the 6AM wake ups. Seriously, as much as I love summer I dread those early wake ups! I am slowly becoming a zombie.

What a dapper little dude! He has been giving me this goofy grin for pictres lately, but I can't help but think it is ADORABLE! Daxton is turning into a big boy right before my eyes. He is talking so well and say the funniest little things! I need to write then down! He is loving nursery and playing with his friends, playing outside, working with dad, and is just my best little buddy.

When we went in for Bodie's 9 month appointment they took a little bit of blood and tested his iron (typical for this age). It came back really high which can cause heart problems later in life. They wanted to get more blood work to make sure and were thinking that the first test they did might have been wrong and the maching read it wrong. We went in to the hospital lab and they had to stick his little arms which was totally devastating for him....... and me. He did great and was so brave. Well turns out he is JUST FINE!!! WAHOOOOOO. It is just sickening to know that something might be wrong with your child, even something small like this. I am really grateful that everything is okay.

Happy 7th anniversary to us! I seriously have the best guy..... sorry ladies. He is the best husband and father and I have loved our seven years together. Here is to MANY more! And yes, I am aware that we both look sickly in this picture. It was late okay?

Daxton has been OBSESSED with hummus lately! I am actually really proud of him for trying new things and not being a picky eater which is not an easy feat for a toddler. In fact, his favorite foods are cucumbers, cantelope, strawberries, olives, mushrooms, hummus, aaaaaand ice cream!

And Happy Mothers Day! My boys let me sleep in, which would be great if I could actually sleep in. I am like my boys and wake up with the sun. Anyway, I got to lay in bed for an extra little while. I came down and the boys suprised me with this tent (below). It is a half dome tent and is super easy to put up and take down. I have had my eye on this to use during the summer at the park, pool, and camping. They made me breakfast, spoiled me with their sweet kisses, and made me my favorite red velvet cake. I love being their mom. There were many many days where I wondered if I would be able to have kids so to have these two little monkeys is pretty specacular. I can't even explain the happiness that being a mom brings me. Not going to lie, it is a LOT of work keeping up with these two busy little boys, but I wouldn't change a thing. Okay maybe one thing: LOTS more hugs, kisses, and snuggles, and maybe an occasional morning where they sleep past 6. That's it though.

Fun with the other Sherwoods

We love it when Landon's family comes to visit! His brother Stanton and his cute family came and we had so much fun! We just pack our days full of shopping, playing, and eating!

We visited City Creek in downtown SLC and it was AMAZING! We spent a good hour at Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory eating way too many carmel apples and candy. The kids all got to pick out a toy at the Disney store, which was insanely busy, but fun. We shopped until we dropped and it was great!

 Nordstrom had a cute little playhouse that we stopped at for a little break. Taylor and Daxton had so much fun exploring. These two are SO cute together!

Bodie @ 8 Months

My littlest munchkin is 8 months old! It was a busy month for this boy. He sprouted his first four teeth all in one month! Poor fellow, he hasn't loved it. Growing teeth is such a hard thing! He is not crawling or anything yet, but he is such a little rolly poly. He rolls to get places and is trying really hard to get up on his knees. He is getting so much stronger everyday and will be crawling before we know it. With all the teeth growing he hasn't been eating that well, but when he feels like it he is getting really good at feeding himself. It makes him seem so old! He is such a funny little boy. He has started clapping, waving byebye, nodding yes, shaking his head no, and claps his little feet together. He loves to giggle, is happy all the time, and loves attentiion. Daxton is his best buddy. They are so cute together, it makes my heart happy to see them interact! Love my little boys!

Easter 2012

I am right on the ball posting about Easter this year! Okay, I am mostly on the ball because these little boys have grandparents that want to see them in their cute little Easter outfits! Love my cute little guys.... so handsome!

Bodie- 7 Months

Look at this precious little thing!!! He is just scruptious. My sister, Noelle at www.photographybynoelle.blogspot.com , took these pics when we were visiting her in Rexburg and I just love them. I just can't believe he is 7 (almost 8) months now! We have been switching computers so I haven't blogged in forever, SORRY! We have been enjoying some really nice weather and really busy weekends!

He is gotten really busy this last month. He is rolling all over, sitting, sprouting teeth, saying "dada" and some other little things, sleeping like a ROCKSTAR (8-7:30) and finally napping well, he really wants to crawl but it is still going to be a while, and eating so much! He is only taking bottles now and loves his solid food. I just love this little man. He is ALWAYS happy and the wiggiliest little person. Ella (my neice) always says that Bodie is flapping his wings (think snow angel, double time)!

Daxton was feeling left out and wanted in some pics so we decided to take some with him and mama. Daxton is growing up so much, I can't believe it! He talks my ear off all day and says the cutest things. He has such good manners and is always saying, "thank you mama", "love you mama", "please mama". He is a precious little thing. He has been living the nice weather and rediscovering his love for the outdoors.

What we have been up to.....

It has been a weird winter. No snow, major inversions, warmish days. Nonetheless, it is STILL winter and we have been feeling bored and cooped up. This is what we do to take up our days.

Play at Kangaroo Zoo for Emrie's birthday. Daxton is a daredevil. He LOVES the big adult slides that shoot you down at the speed of light. It makes me laugh because once upon a time I used to be like that.... an now I am afraid of everything. :)

Hang out with my sistas.

What the??? Daxton is SO silly these days. He love to wear hats, any hat, around all day. He is obbsessed with his little cows that came with his tractor, and would DIE if he lost his little key that he holds ALL day (it's an old mailbox key on a key ring). He makes me laugh so hard with all the little things he loves and what keeps him entertained.

Play in the 2 inches of snow we have gotten all winter.

Go to church. So handsome.

Play at home in our slippers..... lots of slipper days! And watch Lion King..... or "wion kin" at our house. He thinks he is "imba" (Simba) now and growls all the time.

Ride bikes and scooters in the garage.

And yes folks..... POTTY TRAIN! Daxton suprises me every day how big and smart and old he is. He caught on to potty training in almost no time. I am so proud of him. We are still working on it, but he is doing awesome! He has to have book "like dada."
